There are so many desserts that I make one time only. That’s because there are very few desserts that wow my taste buds. These are the three that wow me — my cookies, this Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cake, and these — triple layer peanut butter brownies.
Now the first time I made these, I followed the recipe exactly. They were delicious. But in the words of my husband, I had to go and ‘Barbify’ them. Translation — I had add even more chocolate, double the peanut butter buttercream recipe, and make the layers thicker. After all, go big or go home.
So here’s how I made these into what I consider to be the best brownies in the world (and let me interject here that my mom considers them the best brownies in the world too). First, follow the brownie recipe, then add a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the batter. Bake according to the directions. Make 1 1/2 batches of the peanut butter buttercream. Smear it on the cooled brownies. Add the chocolate ganache and sprinkle the entire bag of mini chocolate chips over the top. Perfection!
